Doesn't It?

Is argument bad?
It would seem so if you are a leftist, a church leader, or a social Christian.
I get it, it isn't a good thing to take a disagreement to a hateful level. However, is anger, frustration or irritation in a disagreement bad?
I don't think so...and truly, most Christians who hate to argue would agree, especially when it comes to winning the lost.
"So why won't they debate or discuss scripture?"
It's not unity, a nice churchy buzz word. For if it was, every effort would be made to connect in our understanding of truth!
It's not because they are afraid to stand up for what they believe, for if they are telling someone about Jesus...well, patient persistence is required. Everyone knows that.
So why dismiss, ignore and turn away from those who disagree with their currently held ideas about God?
I think there are two reasons, one is in time, the other is not.
"?"
God, The Father is outside of time and space. He encompasses everything. Jesus is the same God, but an exact representation in time and space. He is understandable, mentally graspable. He is not smaller, but definitely different and the same.
It's over our heads, but true, nonetheless.
So, from the perspective of The Father, all truth is revealed as He does so. From realizing the earth is not flat to Jesus being God, the truth is given along with the ability to see it...faith.
Faith is trust in something, or someone you know. No, it is not belief because you want it to be so. That isn't faith...that is delusion.
The other reason is in time, because like Jesus, that is what we are.
We think in time.
We live in time.
We feel in time.
Tick, Tock...all we are and do.
Our understanding does get revealed by the Father, but our perspective is a progression of information, situations, and thoughts that shape our understanding...leading us to a choice.
"Huh, maybe Jesus really is God!"
Since we operate in time, we decided to look at truth or not, yet that decision is overshadowed by the sovereignty of The Father.
Do you see how this works?
If you do, it was given to you, no differently that the truth that Jesus is God our savior.
No room to boast.
So, seeing this, therefore ALL our correct doctrines are gift and also nothing we can boast about.
Boasting is a rather huge sign that a person really doesn't know the truth at all.
Additionally, if we understand this, then we also understand we only see a tiny fraction of God as a whole. If faith really does grow as we know Him better, then it ONLY makes sense that within church walls, discussions about our God given perspectives would be a supreme importance...yet it is not.
Instead, discussion and debate is frowned upon, until only one guy seems to have the only valid perspective. Anyone who opposes or doesn't see how it fits becomes ostracized.
This is not good.
Sure, there are some crazy fringe ideas, but why is it that we can be so patient with a lost soul, yet blow off another believer who doesn't see or understand something that seems widely accepted?
"You should be teachers..."
Paul said this. He wasn't kidding. As a believer, we should be sharing ALL God reveals to us, and not just to the lost.
If you want unity, real unity, not just conformity, then stop resisting a competing biblical thought!
Instead, argue it. Debate it.
Just do it with the same grace, love, and mercy that you received from God.
Winning is getting a better view of God.
Losing is being so stubborn, that you refuse to see the truth...yes, it sounds just like a lost "woke" person.
Doesn't it?
