Go To Him

When you trust God, and not just say you do, life has a purpose that is planned out and executed by the most capable being in every form of existence.

This changes things, especially how you respond to problems.

When people treat you badly, and you acknowledge the One in control of it all. The question arises "who should I be angry at?".

If you are angry at the human perpetrator, you are not trusting in God's control, God's purpose, and God's plan.

If you are angry at God, again, you are not trusting in God's control, God's purpose, and God's plan.

Of course, He could stop them from their attack whether it is physical, mental, or emotional. At the very least He could remove them from the situation in many, many ways. Aneurism? Bad report from home?

Yes, God can and could protect His own from every threat or potential threat. So, the fact that He does not only leaves two options...either He is not in control, or He fully intended the attack.

If He is not in control, but rather limited by the choices of men, then He cannot protect you at all. "Sorry, I could not stop the murder of your son, because the murderer 'chose' to do it and I am not allowed to interfere."

That doesn't fit with scripture, nor does it make any sense. It absolutely implies that He is NOT in control. Then, the question is "who then is in control?"

Is it random?

Is nobody?

If so, then there is no purpose for any of it! Life is just "happening".

Bizarrely, THIS is the way most believe in this world...even in the churches.

The Bible clearly teaches God is in complete control. That IS what Jesus taught about the Father, and then said directly, "trust Him in ALL things".

Yes, including how you are treated by Buttheads.

Now, when you trust Him, the tendency once you get beyond the small view of this life and the initial anger, resentment, and feeling sorry for yourself, is to turn to Him with those feelings and say "why?".

This is a good thing, and a huge reason for the difficulty in the first place.

You see, if God wants you to trust Him above ALL things, He must challenge you enough to question or doubt Him, so you seek Him to understand. When you find Him, He connects with you, revealing more of Himself so you see that He is in fact trustworthy.

It is all relational.

"Couldn't He do this in an easier way?"

Well, you could wish it so, until you realize that He is vastly smarter, kinder, and more capable than you, also, He makes no mistakes...ever. If there was a better possible way, He would have done it THAT way.

"Oh, yeah, that makes sense..."

So, get mad, not at the tools that God uses, but at Him directly.

Talk to Him.

Yell at Him.

Cry to Him.

Just go to Him.

He is the One who truly knows "why?".
