It's a Complicated World

Want to understand the bizarre chaos in the world?

Maybe, ask the Author.

I ask Him stuff all the time.

The whys and wherefores.

He is never offended or annoyed in the asking. In fact, I find that He likes the interest.

I do get answers, but they are often infused with the knowledge that He is offering the most simplistic of answers because of my limitations.

He made those limitations, so why would He be offended at my stupid request to a vastly larger picture than my toddler brain can grasp.

He smiles at me.

Seeking. Yes, He loves the interest from His kids.

I know He doesn't do this for everyone. Not everyone is His child. Yet, since WE don't know if we are His until He responds, just the interest is a good sign that we are.

"Seek and you WILL find."

That is what He said.

He never lies.

So, IF you seek, You ARE His, finding only proves it.

However, the alternative is also true... if you don't seek, you will not find. Meaning, you are not His child.

No, we are NOT all His children. Yes, we are ALL His creation, but clearly not all His children.

Weeds and wheat.

The elect.

HE chooses who comes.

Of course this is a hard teaching. Jesus had quite a bit of hard teaching. It will anger the wannabes. They killed Him for it!

Ah, but that was planned after all.

Romans 9:22-23

[22] What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath--prepared for destruction?

[23] What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory--

Does this bother you, or is it a comfort?

Do you trust Him, or the actions of a man? Choices? Your ability to ascend?

Do you reject what is written and "translate" it into something more... palatable to your sensibilities?

There is a difference here.

Ah, but the most amazing and fascinating thing about it is, that you could be a weed today... and wheat tomorrow.

It is a complicated thing, one than has a simplistic childlike answer, but like everything else... it is more complicated than that.
