A Stupidly Small View

When we talk about God being sovereign, yet make Him out to be not all that dissimilar to a powerful man, we are missing the biblical description of Him by an infinite measure.

As a time based, progressively thinking created being, who and what He IS, is exactly so far beyind our comprehension, that a comparison of bacterium to Einstein is absurdly inadequate.

Sure it is comfortable to make Him more human like. He did that Himself by becoming a man. Ephesians chapter 2 sums it up nicely. "Though He was God..."

He didn't have to do it. Stoop so low as to be relatable, yet He graciously did. So, consider then the arrogance to take it further and make Him out to be limited like a man. Zues, Odin, Allah or any man made god who is always reacting to man's will and poor decisions.

Yes, Jesus does react. He, as The Lord, in the Old Testament did get mad, flood the earth and punish Isreal many times for their rebellion. However, if you take the Book as a whole and not conveniently limit Him to only a minor perspective, you can see clearly that He is so far above and ahead of any decision by man, demon, or angel, that it becomes clear that HE isn't like a powerful man at all... He is more powerful than an Author of an entire series of novels. Beyond any measure of comprehension that we can muster, HE IS.

Now as limited beings, we must logically and biblically conclude that even our stupid and limited nature is intentional. For a Being at His level cannot logically make errors or mistakes.

Isn't that what scripture says? Do you not know His word? Do you not understand how powerful HE really IS?

If He IS as powerful as He says, and you are in fact His (no, everyone is not His), then you have a dad that not only knows your entire past, present, and future, but is also completely in control of it!

HE IS!

The ONLY reason that would bother you is if you don't trust Him... and if salvation is by trust in Him, well, the obvious question is then, are you really saved?

Yes, this is THAT important.

Jesus is going to say to goats on Judgement Day, "I don't know you". The word know in Greek is an idiom for sexual intercourse.

No, God is not looking for beings to "do it" with. Don't be stupid. He is conveying clearly that the relationship He wants with His chosen is even beyond that of a married couple.

And you horribly think He belongs only in church on Sunday...

Stop lying to yourself. You cannot possibly fool Him, so you are only deceiving yourself. To make Him Lord, as He already is, is nothing more than acknowledging His power and control over all that is you.

His will be done never "enables" His ability to act, it is simply an acknowledgment of the fact that His will already is.

These means you are a slave to Him, but free from everything else.

What would a demon be able to do against you?

What would a coven of witches be able to do against you?

What would satan himself be able to do against you?

What would a mean boss be able to do against you?

What would YOU be able to do against you?

Nothing... that God Himself didn’t plan out for your benefit before time began.

He IS big. Bigger than you can possibly imagine. So, if you can accept the "Author of all stories" concept... you must understand that He has always been WAY bigger than that...

Infinitely so.
