Born Again Eyes

John 3:3

[3] In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "

The term "born again Christian" is stupid. Yup, I said it.

It's like saying "meat beef".

If you are Christian, it is because you were born again. Born of the Holy Spirit, born of God.

Faith is given by God's grace. If it is given, a person is born again. It IS a measure of His Spirit. It enables us to see, hear and understand God.

1 Corinthians 2:14

[14] The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Salvation, or acceptance by God only comes from faith in Him. A trust in Him that is given when He plants His Spirit in someone. It has nothing to do with how good, nice or kind someone is.

HE alone picks. It is His grace. It has nothing to do with us.

If you believe in Jesus, you have been born of the Spirit.

If you trust in you... you have not.

Born once, you die twice.

Born twice you will die only once... unless you make it to the end, then you never die.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

[15] According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

[16] For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

[17] After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

Ah, wouldn't that be nice!

It would except that it is going to get ugly before He comes back. If you are born twice, you will make it through. It will test your faith, but since you never earned it and He will never take it back, your salvation is assured.

Have no fear... unless you really don't trust Him.

I guess we will see.
