Does Hell Last Forever?

"Yes, it is eternal punishment, damnation, so it does last forever."

Really?

Does it really?

Revelation 20:14

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The second death.

The first death is separation from life. You are gone, never to return. Well, unless you believe in Jesus, then you will come back and reign with Him for one thousand years... until the new heaven and new earth.

The second death, separation from life, again?

Separation from everything?

Isaiah 65:17

“See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.

Yes, separated permanently... forever, no return, not even a remembrance.

"How is that eternal punishment?"

Well, it is eternal, it is permanent. It will never change once it happens. A second FINAL death.

"What about torment?'

Doesn't that thought just disturb you greatly? This means, if you don't turn to Jesus and believe, you will be utterly removed from existence... even every memory of you.

Consider all that you are and all that have been through... utterly useless and forgotten.

What a waste.

If that doesn't torment you at all, well, it will... until you are gone.

Weeping and gnashing of teeth...

The Long Walk.

Yes, heading out into outer darkness... to the Lake of Fire.

To eternal destruction.

To the Second Death.

Like Death.

Like Hell.

Like Satan.

Just Gone.
