How Biblical Predestination Works

God doesn't just know what is going to happen. He controls it. Every choice and decision in His universe, from Satan to the lowest bacterium, each choice, each thought, each decision, was preordained, controlled, and written by Him.

Man, unless otherwise shown by God, has no idea what choices, plans, or decisions God has ordained for their life, until they make them. They must make choices and will have to live with the consequences of those choices.

Ignorance of the ordained decisions of God, mankind's choices appear to be free from God's will. They are not as God, being outside of time and space, has a will that supersedes ALL wills. In fact, it isn't just more powerful, it was first and is the only will in truth.

God, being outside of time and space, has a persona that represents Him within time and space. That is Jesus. He is the avatar, the exact representation of God, The Father, who is the persona outside of time and space.

In order to communicate and be relatable, Jesus represents God in a way that appears to act and react in time. If He did not do this, it would be impossible for us to relate to Him. He gets mad. He reacts to man's actions and decisions. He shows regret. He shows surprise.

He IS the Father. He IS the Son. He doesn't have to be relatable. He does this because He cares... and it is necessary to complete the work that He has started when He said, "Let there be light".

So, man does choose. Yet that choice was pre-written and ordained long before the man was born.

This understanding fits biblically, but I imagine, because it has to do with God, who is vast, that this view is extremely simplistic and childlike.

It is the best I have got. So, if you are struggling with "How can God..." and feeling like your life is out of control. Maybe this will help.

If you cannot stomach the idea that God is in control of your every decision, then I point you back to the scriptures. They may not make sense, but if you agree that they are in fact the word of God, then you must accept what it says... even if you don't understand it yet.

Am I wrong?
