Is it Love to happily ignore a friend struggling with alcohol or drugs?

You don't want to offend.

You don't want to pry.

"Oh, it could kill them, but I don't want to be 'that' guy."

Is it?

Is it Love then to ignore when they believe in something leading them to eternal destruction?

What if it is something just majorly interfering with their walk with God?

"Oh, I don't agree with that theological viewpoint, but I don't want to argue..."

How is it different from ignoring a drug addicted "friend"?
