It Is Who You Know

Saving faith has nothing to do with how strongly you believe. You can believe in a lie very strongly, yet it won't help you at all.

Faith that saves is faith IN someone. That He is so strong, so capable, that there is nothing you could do to interfere with His action to save you.

This is the faith Jesus Christ is looking for. The kind of faith that sent Peter back to Jesus even after He did the unthinkable... He denied the One who saved him.

Peter KNEW Jesus would accept him.

Peter KNEW Jesus loved him.

Peter KNEW Jesus.

That, is saving faith.
