Manifest Destiny

Recently President Trump was attacked again by some crazed guy with a manifesto. It seems kind of nuts to even have a manifesto to me. But then I guess I do. My manifesto was written by God, through men He chose, and He has held tightly to it throughout millennia.

Yes, I really believe that.

As Martha and I travel about, we have been in several countries that the US has been at war within the past. Currently, we are in Japan, but we got here after a month long stay in Vietnam.

Vietnam was actually a great stay. The cities we stayed in were maintained better than many US cities and everything worked well. 50+ years ago the US fought in Vietnam to prevent an ideology from taking over the southern part of the nation.

It was rather interesting to me that the cities we were in ran so well. Communism and socialism were the terribly evil ideologies that American soldiers died to prevent. They failed of course because their leadership was awful. Yet, 50 years later the country is looking good!

Why then did we fight there?

Fear.

Our leadership back in the day was rather concerned with the communist manifesto, the ideology. You see, it is clearly written, as plain as the would-be Trump assassin's manifesto, that they wanted to dominate the entire world and make it submit.

That is a problem.

Still, Vietnam becoming fully communist, or rather socialist, isn't a threat any longer. I don't know if the current leadership just doesn't care about spreading their "love" anymore, or it's just that they found running an entire country in that ideology is hard, so they just aren't moving across any borders. Ugh, think of the added work!

Leadership.

Leadership is important. I have said for years that any form of government can be great, IF the folks running it are decent people. The problem is when they are not.

You see, in socialist government, in order to administer it well, the people need to give a small group of men a great deal of power. If the men are decent, kind, caring and wise, then the socialist government can be awesome. However, if they are scumbags... getting rid of them will take armed resistance and cause a whole lot of death and destruction.

This works the same with dictators, kings, and any other government where a few rule. The US founding father's kind of knew this, so they made up a constitutional Republic that though difficult to navigate legally, was extremely difficult for one or a small group of bad folks to take complete control. Fear of this, well, is why we had a Vietnam war.

Ideology.

Vietnam was an abysmal failure and considering how nice the country is now... maybe we should not have gotten involved.

North Korea, that is another issue entirely. That dude is crazy and so was his dad. Yes, stopping that ideology, that manifest manifesto from taking control of the south, many south Koreans would agree was a good idea.

Now we have other manifestos that should be a concern, but strangely they are not. There have been and still are weird cults that want to convert and control others into sex slaves, slaves, and just sources of money to be squeezed so the leaders can live like rock stars. Some have been shut down, yet others that are even more dangerous seem protected.

Islam is a religion that is accepted, but did you know they have a manifesto? One that plainly speaks of world dominance by murder, lies and violence as necessary to achieve that goal. The manifesto is the book, the Quran. Oh, and there are major side manifestos like the Hadith. These also plainly speak of things even more terrifying than communism.

This is so, and easy for anyone to verify.

No, not every Muslim is dangerous as many aren't as fundamentalist as those with bomb vests. Yet, if a huge part of their accepted, printed, and promoted manifesto says they are allowed to lie and befriend those they are called to subjugate, how can you tell who is being really nice?

This is a problem.

Sure, it is easy to see that a manifesto to murder a president is dangerous, but until it turns south, we all turn a blind eye. How many saw that manifesto before the wannabe assassin acted? It is an interesting question. Maybe he should have been on a watch list.

How many realize that there are those who live beside us with a openly distributed manifesto of world dominance? Should we fight them. No, as history shows, that doesn’t often go well. I think though, it might be a good idea to be warry. Watch and wait.

Oh, and the Christian manifesto? Ha! Yeah, no, it is not even remotely similar. Yes, Jesus is coming back for world domination. That is what it says. Nowhere does it say His followers should be fighting to make it happen. On the contrary, His followers are directly told to be ready to peaceably and willingly die if someone wants to kill them because of an opposing ideology.

Of a truth, a simple manifesto for every Christian is this... trust god and don't be an ass.

You see that is the solution for anyone stuck in the ideology of a dominating manifesto. Put others first instead.

You can't hurt or kill anyone with that manifest truth!

Wouldn't it be nice?

HA! Oh, but it will... when He gets here.

HA! HA! HA!
