Plugged Into the Wrong Outlet

The other night it occurred to me why many people get caught up into a conspiracy, topic, political item, or a rather "out there" view of the world in general, and cling to it like it was the very air they breathe.

It is what they are plugged into.

No, this is not just what they are watching, and listening to, it is much more than that. I and many I know watch and listen to various sources of information...yet we still don't believe the earth is flat, or that lizard men are really controlling the minds of mankind.

If you need power for a tool, you plug it in. Energy comes from that outlet. The tool won't function without power. Plugging in give that tool something it needs to function at its best.

We do the same.

We really do!

We plug into things that make us feel energy... power.

Me, I get my power, I feel good about myself because of Jesus Christ. I have plugged into Him, His word, and His presence.

Without Him, I would drop on the ground like a useless, powerless tool.

What is making people feel better about themselves? What gives them power?

Yes, for some, it is believing in a flat earth. Even with ALL the evidence to the contrary, they will not listen to reason. They cannot let go of the outlet that makes them feel energized, better... stronger.

Of course, if you are a tool that is meant for 240 volts, but plugged into a 110 outlet... well, you may feel some energy, but as a tool, you are actually pretty weak.

Really, find the right outlet to plug into.

We were not made to run on power from men. We need a much greater power source.
