Reasonable

No, I am not crazy. Nor am I delusional.

I am frustrated.

I am a believer in Jesus Christ.

"Why?"

That is a great question... one I never hear, from anyone.

It is frustrating.

I find it strange. It would be my first question. Especially, if I knew the person well enough to know they were neither crazy nor delusional.

Why people believe what they believe.

I find this fascinating.

For the most part, people do believe what they want to believe, but finding out why, truly reveals whether or not that is true.

"My parents believed that way."

Comfortable, understandable, but still, faith based on what someone else said isn't really faith. They may tell you of a man who is trustworthy, but until you have dealings with that man, you really don't know... do you?

You actually only trust your parents.

"It just makes sense"

This comes from at least a bit of searching, but settling on the most "sensible" ideas doesn't often lead to truth.

It is actually lazy.

"I studied hard, I put in the time"

This is more faith in your efforts.

Much of science does this. The limitation is that you really don't have enough evidence to be absolute.

Would you stake your life on it?

"I have evidence, I have met and communicated with the source"

Now we are talking.

Faith is based on knowledge, experience, testing, walking with.

You cannot fully trust someone you do not know... or have simply been told about.

Do aliens exist?

The best way to "believe" that, is to have met with one, shook his hand, and watched him work.

Now, is he good or evil?

Even if he is selfish and evil, you can trust him to act a certain way in a given situation. Simply because you know them enough to ascertain their response.

That is reasonable.

Doesn't sound crazy or delusional to think that way does it?

So, why do I believe what I believe?

I have evidence. I have seen and spoken to God, to Jesus Christ Himself.

I have a ton of evidence.

I have walked with Him.

Seen Him respond to many circumstances.

I have been praised by Him, scolded by Him.

I have seen Him smile.

Does it not sound reasonable?

I think so. I have put a lot of time into this too! Study, questions (directly), patience, prodding, poking and being an all-round pain to Him.

He doesn't mind at all.

In fact, He does indeed like it.

Pursuit.

Evidence is good.

Testing evidence is better.

Seeking is essential.

Otherwise, you don't know.

Ignorance is bliss... until you are facing danger because you just don't know.

Not so blissful then.

"Can I pet that dawg?"

Yeah, THAT sounds crazy to me.

So, don't care?

That is fine.

Until it isn't.

Beginning to seek? to question?

Better.

Now, go get evidence.

It is not hard.

I did it.

Anyone can.

He is everywhere.

All you gotta do is ask.

So, why are you not asking?

Are you crazy?
