Seek First His Kingdom

If you don’t trust God, you will be judged by the Law.

The Law is the list of requirements for a man to become like God…perfect.

The Law is the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

If you realize you can’t become God and seek His mercy, you will find Jesus, and He will give it to you.

This is what a gift of faith does.

God gives you the realization.

It has nothing to do with your effort or work as that is an attempt to become like God.

The Law points to faith in Jesus as the only viable option.

This is repentance. Not turning away from sinful behavior but rather trusting in God.

However, if you add to faith “works” you will again face failure as you are still looking to be judged by the Law.

You are still trying to be better by your effort, your work, to ascend and be like God.

With no faith, the Law is concrete and impossible.

We cannot become like God.

With faith, the Law becomes a guide to judge not perfection, but the level of trust.

Failure in the Law then shows where a lack of faith is.

It reveals, as it points to Christ, the sinful nature’s attempts to still become “worthy”... to ascend.

Faith, or trust in God, grows as we know Him better.

He is the only one who is perfect, because He is the only one who is God.

Faith is submission, surrender.

Submission to the King.

It is the opposite of ascending.

EVERY attempt by man to be “better” is part of the sinful nature… even for those who “believe”.

Faith, as it grows deeper and deeper, will change a person to walk better all on its own, because as we trust Him more, we will do what He says more.

If you want to defeat sin, it is simple. Get to know God more deeply.

Since He IS trustworthy, you will believe in Him more.
