The Target

There is no faith in God if you believe He is not sovereign, not in complete control.

How could there be?

If you believe God lost control, then you believe He is weak, stupid, or lazy.

You can't trust in someone like that. They are not reliable.

If you believe He gave it away thinking the outcome would be different...again, weak, stupid, or lazy.

If God lost or gave away control of every, or even some outcomes, He is no longer sovereign. That is just a fact.

However, if you believe what the Bible really says about Him and His power, you must accept that God is and always has been completely in control. This is just the beginning of real faith in God.

It's when you KNOW, deep in yourself, that God is good, even with the world He created being intentionally full of terrible evil.

Now take it to the most impressive level of faith...when you trust God even after He orchestrated your life to be full of evil treatment, disappointment, loss, and hurt...knowing deeply, that He did it all for a fantastically great reason.

THAT is faith in God.

THAT is a bullseye.

Jesus shows us how to aim.

Aim for Him.
