Want a Happy Life?

Satan must ask for permission.

He always has. In Job, he did.

When testing Peter, he did.

Imagine if you will, a simple way to know that is still in effect. Satan, if he was allowed, could easily kill you. He could simply place a flesh-eating bacterium into your body. Right in your brain, BOOM, you die. It would be easy for him.

Prince of the world, he is, yet he will always answer to the King of the Universe.

As I have said many times, God could end satan and all evil in one word... "die".

BIG BOOM

You must understand this life isn't about you doing anything! Faith or Trust in God is the only thing that matters. It is the only thing that will open eternity for anyone... and there in nothing you can do to get it!

It is a gift from God.

A free gift.

No, it is not given to everyone... or everyone would get saved!

Do you really believe if God wanted to save someone, that they couldn't do anything to stop Him?

Do you really believe your "acceptance" of His gift was necessary? Do you not realize if you do, that is a work which you added as a requirement for salvation?

Consider if you will, He could have set up this world in any way He wanted. He could have made us all like Superman, invulnerable, indestructible, perfect.

He didn't.

He could have made us fully aware of Him. We could be born, hatched, or just appear out of dirt, with full knowledge of Him.

He didn't

He could have us not be rebellious. We could be perfect and pliable. There could be no devil, no temptation, no sin. He could have made us perfect without any desire to become like God.

He didn't.

He could have made life easy, fun, and simple. He could have us not need to work, struggle or suffer. He could have made our lives pain free.

He didn't.

"WHY?"

Obviously, He didn't want to.

Obviously, He has a plan that requires ALL to be as it is.

Obviously, He could have changed it any way He wanted.

He didn't.

Struggle, not knowing, insecurity, sin, hate, anger, frustration, and all difficulty in life is, and always was, intentional.

It had to be, or God would have done it another way.

Luke 22:42

42“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.

IF there were another way.

There wasn't

Jesus knew that. He asked so you could see that it is OK to struggle with it. To ask for it... but to resolve yourself to trust Him regardless.

That is faith.

That is trust.

Trust in God, who IS in control.

Satan is controlled.

The world is controlled.

Your boss is controlled.

Your spouse is controlled.

Your kids are controlled.

Nothing is running free willy style!

NOTHING!

Faith is trusting God. Not trusting you or anything else.

Just God.

You can't trust God, if you don't think He is in control.

You can't trust God, if you don't think He is good.

You can't trust God, if you don't think He has a great plan for everything.

You can't.

Oh, but He can.

He can reveal truth to you.

He can give you faith in Him.

He alone can save.

All of scripture, ALL OF SCRIPTURE, points to God and says to trust Him because He is trustworthy. It even gives a vast number of examples of men and women who struggled but finally came to that conclusion. God IS and He is good.

Then they did the greatest things ever.

Want your life to be better?

Want to be happier?

Want to be fulfilled?

Trust God.

If, as scripture teaches, God wants faith and trust in Him, doesn't it make sense that all difficulties in life are set up for that one purpose?

If that is so, then wouldn't it also make perfect sense that if you want life to be easier, then you could focus on that trust in Him?

If you don't believe in God and He wants you to, wouldn't He give you reason to look at Him?

Cancer?

Job loss?

Marriage problems?

Any multitude of problems?

If you "believe" but have a weak level of trust, wouldn't He give you a number of circumstances to make that trust in Him grow?

It is really obvious if you look at your life. If you believe at all. You can see that every problem, every difficulty eventually points you back to Him... if you are His.

Difficulties will come, as Jesus said, but He said to take courage in it.

Knowing He has you.

Knowing He made the path work.

Knowing God, the Father, has chosen you for greater things.

Greater things... things you cannot comprehend. Things that are for the next life, the next world.

Stop fighting.

Stop blaming.

Start trusting.

Die to yourself.

All things work together, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

If you want your life to be easier, focus on God always. Acknowledge Him and get to know Him.

Seek Him.

Ask Him.

Put Him first.

If you are favored by the Author, the story will always go well for you. It may be difficult in the middle, but the end will be perfect.

Eternal life.

A life worth dying for.
