What Are You Afraid Of?
They keep popping up on my feed with tales of terror over a spell, idol, or demonic visitation...
It's these stupid short videos.
It used to be Candy Crush or some silly game app.
Time wasters.
Are they evil?
No.
No, they are not. It is like alcohol, gambling or legal drugs. They can be entertaining, useful or completely ruin someone's life. It all depends on how you look at them and if you let them dominate your mind, heart, and soul.
Dominate.
If you are afraid of it, it will dominate you. You will bow to it. You will even respect it...
"What are you talking about?!"
Demons.
Yes, there are in fact demons. Evil spirits is what that word actually means. The Bible talks of them, JESUS talks of them. They are real. If you believe in the scriptures and Jesus Christ, you must accept this truth... unless you really don't believe at all.
So, there is Spiritual Warfare. However, it is not like what most teachers say.
If Jesus is your Lord, there is nothing to fear... not from any angel or evil spirit.
EVER!
No matter what you have been taught, GOD is NOT in some eternal struggle with the devil and his minions. HE IS NOT. Shoot, God is not even in a wee little struggle with the devil.
Satan is a created being. He is no different to God, than Emperor Palpatine is to George Lucas. Actually, George is much weaker to the Sith Lord comparatively than God is to anyone or anything in HIS universe.
Jesus IS THE TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN... and there is no reasonable comparison.
Once you understand this, then Spiritual Warfare isn't fair at all!
These evil beings don't stand a chance. Not their spells, not their actions, not their evil machinations... nothing they do is outside of God's will, plan and purpose... NOTHING!
With Martha and I traveling now full time, we rent these Airbnb places at a much lower rate than what our mortgage was in Florida. We are currently in a place in Phuket, Thailand right now. Behind our bed there are several tiny Buddha idols.
I really don't care.
Look, if you know scripture at all, you know that it does in fact say that an idol is NOTHING. It does say this throughout the book.
"So, why is God so adamant, even angry, at people for not destroying them!?"
Why? Because they were trusting in them!
They made and carried these things hoping, that just in case it was a representation of a real god, that maybe, just maybe, they didn't piss it off or could appease it for some wee favor in travel, farming, hunting or even love.
THIS IS WHAT PISSED GOD OFF!
...and it still does.
Can you see it? If you are even slightly worried that there is a Buddha statue over the bed where you are sleeping, YOU fear that little piece of stone, wood, or clay. It means you don't KNOW God. You don't TRUST God.
Even if that statue was created with the sacrifice of 10,000 virgins, was molded through 10,000 wicked ceremonies... it is irrelevant!
There could be a bright red pentagram painted on the floor of this Airbnb and I would not care... OK, other than it just looks stupid.
These symbols, statues, and even words crafted in spells are USELESS against the people of God.
"I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you..."
You must realize that God's people are the People of Faith! Faith IN HIM.
Not faith in a statue, words of supposed power, images of evil... Faith in Jesus Christ as LORD OF ALL.
I have seen demons.
I have been attacked by demons.
In each circumstance, it was very clear WHO was in control.
God used each event to show me HIS power, HIS authority, HIS purpose, and HIS plan.
Jesus IS Lord... and these evil beings do know it.
Even if you sit outside of God in a state of rebellion, if you are HIS, that fact doesn't change because you are being stupid. No, and if you are in fact HIS, then He will use these evil things to spank your rebellious butt. In a situation like this, you, as HIS child, are never in a truly dangerous place.
HE IS GOD.
These things are just His tools... like every other thing in this world.
Don't believe it?
THAT is a problem.
If you limit God at all, then you raise up, what you believe limits Him.
In truth, that doesn't limit God at all, but it does call for your Father to bring forth discipline to show you otherwise.
God wants us to trust Him.
God will use circumstances to open our eyes.
God doesn't fail.
Yes, God has used scenarios that needed a demonic being to help me see HIM better.
This is one situation in particular.
You can continue to fear satan, demons, idols, and magic spells, or you can accept the true power and presence of Jesus and walk in confidence knowing that every situation you face is nothing more than an opportunity to know Him better.
That is walking by faith.
The real reason demons are afraid of the name of Jesus, isn't because of the word jesus. They are afraid of the authority that Jesus has. The word jesus, is simply a reminder of a reality THEY fear.
Jesus IS Lord... even over those who hate Him.
Me, I find it kind of funny.
