What They Are Destined For

1 Peter 2:6-9

[6] For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

[7] Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone,"

[8] and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall." They stumble because they disobey the message--which is also what they were destined for.

[9] But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Of course, evil people don't recognize that they are evil. They truly believe they are good.

Why stress over that fact? Why does it bother you that they do not see it? Do you really believe they just simply choose it?

God made them, to make you grow.

Romans 9:22-24

[22] What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath--prepared for destruction?

[23] What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory--

[24] even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

Of course, this is only true if you are not stumbling over the message too.
